Youth Basic to Novice1

An event every 2 weeks that begins at 9:30 am on Sunday, repeating until 10 December 2023
This block of fortnightly classes is for youth aged 7 to 14 years who have achieved the required skills for elementary level and are starting to feel more comfortable getting around the ice rink. This class will focus on understanding the fundamentals, and developing good technique on forwards crossovers, 3turns, stronger edges both forwards and backwards, and Mohawks when ready.
Wear appropriate clothing and gloves, and consider protective gear such as crash pants and knee guards. Jeans, flared/wide legged pants, extra long pants, or pants with ties/drawstrings at base of leg are not allowed to be worn on the ice.
Please note that rink fees are additional and must be paid at the counter before getting on the ice.
You should aim to be at the rink at least 20 minutes before your lesson to warm up and fit your skates.
Children under the age of 12 must have an adult in attendance at the rink during lessons.
Fortnightly classes held on 29 October, 12 November, 26 November and 10 December 2023.
