DESCRIPTION:This block of four beginner lessons is for youth aged between 7 and 14 years who are just starting on their skating journey\, or have passed Beginner level. \nPlease see KiwiSkate levels for more information on the skills for Beginner and Elementary levels. \nTerm start: 16 November 2025\nTerm end: 7 December 2025 \nITEMS TO BRING \n\nHelmet – please note skaters in our beginner classes are required to wear a helmet for their lesson.  The rink has helmets available if you don’t have your own.\nGloves.\nWarm\, non-restrictive clothing. SUMMARY:Club Figure Skating Session – Elementary level and above 19-11-2025
DESCRIPTION:This is a practice session for WFSC club members or visiting figure skaters and is for working on figure skating elements only. \nThese are not lessons. Newer skaters must be at KiwiSkate elementary level or higher and be able to safely move around other skaters and do skid stops (eg snow plough\, side stop) on the ice to avoid collisions. \n \nThings to note: \n\nYou will need your own figure skates – hire skates are not suitable for figure skating sessions.\nChildren at novice 1 level may attend from 10 years of age\nChildren at Novice 2 level or higher may attend from 8 to 9 years of age.\nAll those attending must familiarise themselves with the Right of Way Rules contained in the Code of Conduct and our guide to Figure Skating Session Etiquette.\nPrivate lesson skaters attending these sessions must be at novice level or above. Lessons via Zoom or other online media are not permitted during Club sessions.\nWear appropriate clothing and gloves\, and consider protective gear such as crash pants\, knee guards or helmets. Jeans\, flared/wide legged pants\, extra long pants\, or pants with ties/drawstrings at base of leg are not allowed to be worn on the ice.\nHeadphones/earbuds are not permitted to be worn on the ice during club sessions.\nNo photos or recordings of any kind are to be made of other skaters during open sessions without their permission.\nChildren under the age of 14 may not be left unattended during club sessions.\n\nTerms and Conditions
