Synchronised Skating

These monthly classes are for students working at Novice 1 badge and up, ages 11 +.

Synchronised skating is an amazing way to experience skating in a team form. It is all about working together and synchronising moves across the ice with your fellow skaters. A lot of the elements will involve holding hands or shoulders for example, but we also do moves independent from holding onto anyone. The key is (and that’s the tricky part) to do the steps and moves at the same time and in the same way as your team mates!

Skaters who participate in synchronised skating improve their technique, speed, posture, presentation and style.

Coach Camilla has represented Sweden in synchronised skating, has worked as a professional skater for Holiday on Ice performing in Europe, South America and South East Asia, and has coached in Sweden, Beijing and New Zealand.

The rink hire for these classes has been covered thanks to the generosity of The Lion Foundation, helping to build our skating community.
